    Supporting Your BIPOC Student

    Hofstra University invites you to join a virtual panel discussion designed exclusively for admitted students and their families that identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). In the recently published book Black Space: Negotiating Race, Diversity, and Belonging in the Ivory Tower (The American Campus), author Sherry L. Deckman talks about the ways campus communities including faculty, administrators, and students themselves can converse while working towards continuing to build inclusive campus environments. In this session you will hear from Assistant Professor of History and Faculty-in-Residence, Dr. Katrina Rochelle Sims, Associate Director of Equity and Inclusion, Dr. Aisha Wilson-Carter, as well as current students who will share their Hofstra experiences.
