The fall dance audition is at 10 am on Saturday, November 21st. Check in is at 9:15am. Students in this audition group receive complimentary entry to our Fall Dance Concert that day at 2pm or 8pm.

Hofstra University - Department of Drama and Dance

The below audition registration is for those interested in pursuing the BFA in Theater Arts (Performance).

In the audition, you will present one of the following two options:

Option A: Two contrasting one minute monologues
Option B: A one minute monologue and a one minute excerpt of a song from the Golden Age of Musicals (1940s-1960s). An accompanist will be provided. Please bring sheet music.

In addition, please bring a résumé. No headshot is needed.

Your BFA audition will also serve as your evaluation for one of our four Talent Scholarships. There is no additional action required on your part.

This is NOT an application for admission to Hofstra University. Students must also apply for university admission, available here. Admission to the theater arts BFA program through the audition process is contingent upon academic acceptance to Hofstra University.
