    We look forward to personally welcoming you to Hofstra University. The School of Humanities, Fine and Performing Arts is part of Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Disciplines include art history, dance, drama, fine arts and design, music, rhetoric and writing studies.

    During your visit, you will have the opportunity to attend an admission information session as well as an academic overview, where you will learn about admission, scholarships and financial aid; and meet with a representative from the School of Humanities, Fine and Performing Arts.
    Highlights at this Summer Visit Day include:
    • Design and Art History interest students will tour our Calkins Hall facilities
    • Music interest students will visit our Ellie Greenwich tribute statue
    • Anthropology, philosophy, and religion interest students will visit our Socrates statue
    • Drama and dance interest students will visit our Emily Lowe building and view the costume shop and studio, respectively
    • Comparative Literature, Languages, and Linguistics, Romance Languages and Literature, Writing Studies, and Rhetoric will explore the lower level of our Axinn Library where their source materials and classes are held

    Following your information session and academic overview, you will tour campus with one of our Pride Guides (student tour guides). During the tour you will experience what it is like to be a student and learn about the many ways Hofstra will set you up for success.

    Check-in begins at 10 a.m. and programming begins at 10:15 a.m.
