Artificial intelligence is creating new opportunities in education, but it also raises concerns about misuse, including overreliance on AI-generated content, lack of disclosure, and threats to academic integrity. This presentation describes Hofstra's Medical Physics MS Program’s action plan to advance AI literacy and promote responsible AI use among students. The plan is designed to strengthen foundational preparation in computing and artificial intelligence, establish clear expectations for ethical and transparent AI use in academic work, and align student learning with the growing role of AI in clinical medical physics practice.
