Reputation and Crisis Management with Dr. Kara Alaimo

Thursday, April 16, 2020 at 10:30 AMEastern Daylight Time UTC -04:00

How should companies and other organizations communicate with the public, employees, and other important stakeholders during the Coronavirus? What should organizations do if they are attacked on social media now that experts liken such crises to heart attacks and warn that organizations must respond in minutes in order to save their reputations? How should companies handle the new expectation from the public that they should articulate political stances, and then what should they do when their own employees or endorsers attack them for their positions?

Join us to learn more about key principles of reputation and crisis management in a Zoom session with Dr. Kara Alaimo, associate professor of public relations at Hofstra University, and Professor Ivan Cardona, director of Hofstra's Master of Arts in Public Relations program.

Dr. Alaimo is a former communicator in the United Nations and Obama administration and has written about managing reputation management for outlets including Bloomberg and Harvard Business Review.
